StreetWatchers: benefits of the scheme
Meetings
To support the hard work done by StreetWatchers we organise meetings, training and trips.
Evening meetings are held three times a year. They are a great way to meet council officers and fellow StreetWatchers. You can also discuss any concerns and learn about differnet council services and environmental issues.

We invite members of the scheme to the day-long annual StreetWatchers Conference. Previous conferences have featured speakers such as the Leader of the Council, Lead Member for Highways and Transportation, the Assistant Director for Streets and Transportation and the Director of StreetCare, along with officers from various departments.
StreetWatchers Quarterly
You will receive StreetWatchers Quarterly four times a year, which provides updates on council initiatives and activities. We welcome articles from volunteers. If you have an interesting story or information that you would like to share with others email StreetWatchers Coordinator or streetwatchers@brent.gov.uk.
Trips
We also organise trips for the StreetWatchers to show them all the work that the council is involved in. For example, we have visited a composted processing site and a landfill site to show what happens to organic waste and rubbish once we collect it.
Consultations and surveys
We encourage StreetWatchers to have their say on proposed changes to the way the council works. The information we gather is used to help our decision-making. For example we consulted the StreetWatchers about our new tree policy.
At every StreetWatchers meeting we will ask you to fill out a satisfaction survey about the services the council provides. Also every year we survey you to find out how satisfied you are with the scheme. The feedback is used to improve the StreetWatchers scheme.
Projects
We also get StreetWatchers involved in a variety of projects. Such as, the Echo Action Project.
