You can also translate any page on the Brent website into 9 languages via the free facilities kindly provided by AltaVista/Systran , Google and Ajeeb (requires manual input of URL). Just click on the "Translation" option at the bottom of any page and then select the required language below and your previous page (and all subsequent pages) will be translated into that language. There are some restrictions on the size of file that can be submitted and the translation is usually understandable but not perfect. The other main languages commonly used in Brent include Albanian, Arabic, Gujarati, Hindi, Somali, Tamil and Urdu. The Council will translate its web pages from English into these languages manually but machine translation links will be provided as soon as services for these languages become available. After English, Gujarati is the most widely used language in the borough and the Council's One Stop Service operate a Gujarati language line on 020 8937 1996 specifically to assist Gujarati speakers.
