Works by Brent Council
As a Highways Authority, the council is responsible for the maintenance of the principal (A) roads (46km) and borough (425km) roads within Brent. This is administered by the Highway Engineering Team. Funding for principal roads is obtained from Transport for London (TfL). Borough roads are financed from the council's own revenue or capital budgets.
The results at an annual condition survey is used to determine our carriageway resurfacing programmed and service requests that have been received, previous priorities that have not been completed and recommendations from highway engineers following their routine safety inspections are also considered.
The priorities attached to each scheme are based on the structural condition, volume of traffic and any traffic management/statutory undertaker works proposed for the area. These are all considered when finalising the list of priorities.
