Outreach projects

The Outreach team works with hard-to-reach and challenging groups of young people in different areas around Brent.

One of the tools the Outreach team uses is the Equipped 2 Go youth program which is a unique and exciting initiative delivered on a double-decker bus.

The bus is a mobile resource centre that is attractive and well-equipped and has the capacity to hold 32 passengers (please note that the bus will not be driven with young people on board).

On the top deck young people have access to a large plasma screen, which in turn is connected to a state-of-the-art computer suite.

Downstairs is a social area with leather seating where young people can chill out, watch videos, discuss issues, play games and develop socially in a youth-centred environment. Laptops are available for use if necessary.

The Outreach bus is run by a team of dedicated staff who take into account the views of young people, working on different estates within the borough.
