The Right Track Project is part of the Behaviour Improvement Programme, a government-funded initiative that ensures effective educational supervision for
The project operates at Roundwood youth club.
The Right Track Project accepts pupils from all secondary schools in Brent.
During the pupil's stay at the centre they remain on their school attendance register. The day begins at 9.15am and ends at 3.45pm.
Pupils are expected to make their own way to the centre and to wear full school uniform. All pupils are provided with lunch.
While attending the centre pupils continue their school curriculum work, which is provided by the school.
Under the supervision of qualified youth workers and teachers pupils take part in recreational activities including sports such as basketball and badminton.
In addition they participate in a programme of social education which addresses their behaviour and the reasons for their exclusion.
At the end of the exclusion period, Right Track provides a full report to the school and a return to school meeting takes place where expectations and questions for future behaviour, as well as further support, is discussed.
