Brent Community Friends

Brent Community Friends (BCF) is a unique group for young people in the care of the local authority, and is part of the Quality Protects initiative.

The project's main aim is to promote positive outcomes for young people, through expression of their views on the day-to-day delivery of services offered by Social Services.

A further aim is to encourage the participation of young people in leisure and social activities, in order to enhance social skills and to combat emotional and behavioural barriers.

It is also to help them socialise, make friends and express themselves in a safe environment.

The group reguarly attends conferences and residential courses, as well as going on day trips.
