The Mosaic Project provides young Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Brent residents with a range of opportunities to gain skills, take more control of their lives, develop friendships/relationships and build their confidence in a safe and secure environment.
This one-to-one service provides a safe space for young people to talk and gain support about issues such as mental and sexual health, abuse, homophobic and transphobic bullying, relationships, coming out, child protection, parenting, employment and careers advice.
It also encourages self-education away from the group through a free video and book library and sexual health literature.
Mosaic LGBT Youth is exclusive to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender group under 19 years old, as well as those who are questioning their sexuality and/or gender identity.
Mosaic hosts a number of weekly activities. These include:
Our weekly programme of structured activities. Takes place on Wednesdays from 6.30 - 9pm.
The Mosaic Library has a wide range of books and magazines, most of them can be borrowed so that you can read them at home. Available Wednesdays from 6.30 - 9pm.
Face-to-face mentoring. Available Monday to Friday (by appointment).
Support, advice and advocacy on a variety of non-LGBT issues. Available Monday to Friday (by appointment).
Training and consultation for professionals raising awareness of LGBT issues. Available Monday to Friday (by appointment).
