Friday March 4, 2016

After months of consultation with local residents across the borough, the council’s budget for 2016/17 was agreed last week. The future is bright for Brent’s young people. After an excellent set of GCSE and A-level results, the world is their oyster. The proportion of pupils in Brent achieving five GCSEs grades A*-C rose by 2 percentage points to 62 per cent this year and the A-level students maintained a pass rate of 97 per cent.

I’m thrilled that the Community Champion Awards are back. These awards recognise and celebrate the people of Brent who go above and beyond, those who selflessly contribute so much for the benefit of our community.
