Small Business Saturday 2017

Join the celebration and help support our small businesses on Saturday 2 December

Following the success of last year’s Small Business Saturday event, Brent is supporting this year’s event on Saturday 2 December. Small Business Saturday is a national grass roots campaign aimed at encouraging people to shop locally and to support their local economy on one of the busiest shopping days of the year.

Brent is proud to have a fantastic range of independent stores, which boost our local economy and contribute to the uniqueness of our borough, and we would like to see as many small businesses in Brent involved as possible. Some of the ways to get involved are by offering promotions, organising events and entertainment or hosting competitions to encourage people to buy ‘small and local,’ both on the 2nd December and throughout the rest of the year.

Get involved

Whether you are a corner shop, an independent retailer, an online business, a small wholesaler or a provider of services to other businesses, Small Business Saturday is perfect for you.

See what Councillor Shama Tatler has to say about this year's event in our video below:

We are working with the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), and other partners, to help to promote this fantastic campaign and we want to ensure that as many small businesses as possible maximise the opportunities that Small Business Saturday will create.

To achieve borough-wide visibility why not sign up for a free pack of promotional material which includes posters, badges and stands, which you can use on the day itself.
