Animal movement licence
For all movement of cattle, sheep, goats, pigs and deer. Identification and movement information is on the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) website.
All movement of cattle, sheep, goats, pigs and deer are controlled by a general licence. A general licence can be downloaded from the DEFRA website. In addition to the general licence, any movement of pigs must be accompanied by the movement reporting document AML2 and the movement of sheep, goats and deer must be accompanied by the movement reporting document AML1. The owner or keeper at the destination premises must report any movement of pigs, sheep, goats or deer to the local authority within three days of the movement taking place.
