Street cafe
The provision of tables and chairs outside the premises can enhance the attractiveness of a venue or area and encourage a continental style cafe culture.
If you wish to place tables and chairs on a public highway you will need a licence from us. We will look at each application on its merit.
Licences will only be issued where the area is enhanced by placing tables and chairs on the footway and if they are not going to cause an obstruction either to pedestrians or to the sight line of motorists.
Licences will not normally be issued where the proposed site is close to a road junction or crossing or where the footpath is too narrow.
Holders of such licence with close proximity to Wembley Stadium will have to remove the table and chairs on event days.
