Cygnet is a parenting support programme for parents and shared carers, including grandparents, uncles and aunts of children and young people with an autistic spectrum condition.
The intended outcomes of the programme include:
- Increasing parents understanding of autistic spectrum conditions
- Helping parents develop their knowledge of how a child on the autistic spectrum experiences the world and what drives their behaviour
- Guiding parents through practical strategies they can use with their children
