Interested in fostering? Here's what you should know

21 April 2020

Do you love children? If yes, fostering is the best thing you can do. As a foster carer you help babies, older children or teenagers by offering them a safe, loving and stable home.

To foster you need to:

  • be over 21. There is no upper age limit;
  • have the right to remain in the UK indefinitely;
  • have a spare room or space for a cot in your bedroom;
  • be flexible - this is not a must but it is preferable. As a baby carer, you need to be available 24/7, but if you want to care for older children, you can work part-time or full-time.

As a Brent foster carer you will receive a combined fostering allowance and fee of up to £757.60 fortnightly. Take a look at the full support and rewards package.

Sign up for our next online information evening to find out what fostering is like from someone who does this every day - one of our carers.

Are you unsure about how to apply for fostering given the current situation? We made some changes to our service to protect you and your loved ones.
