Mayor's message to residents

9 April 2020

I’m reaching out to you once again to give all the comfort and support I can to Brent residents during these challenging times.

The Bank Holiday is usually a time for family, and although things aren’t normal at the moment it is important to hold on to as much normality as we can whilst practising social distancing.

I encourage everyone to make those phone calls and maintain contact with loved ones that we would usually be seeing in person over the holidays. These connections will help us get through these uncertain times.

Easter is a time for new beginnings and optimism, and as long as we continue to stay home, practise social distancing and protect the NHS – we can have hope that things will eventually get better.

Thank you to all of the volunteers, council officers, NHS staff and other key workers. I have been and will continue to keep residents in my thoughts and prayers. Stay safe and stay well.

Councillor Ernest Ezeajughi, Mayor of London Borough of Brent
