95% of residents offered a top three preference primary school

Figures published last Friday show that Brent Council received 3,444 on time applications for primary school reception places in September 2021.
83.36% of Brent residents were offered their first preference school. This is a decrease of 0.7% on 2020.
95.2% of Brent residents were offered one of their top three preferences representing a 0.02% increase on 2020. 96.89% of Brent residents were offered one of their preferred schools representing a 0.04% increase on 2020.
Cllr Thomas Stephens, Cabinet Member for Education, Business, Employment and Skills said:
“I’m delighted that we were able to meet the demand for primary school places this year. Brent is blessed to have wealth of excellent local schools, and it’s great news that 83.36 per cent of residents were offered their first preference school and that 95.2 per cent were allocated one of their top three preferences. This marks an increase since 2020.”
