Brent to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week

Brent Council will be marking National Apprenticeship Week from the 3rd to 7th February by hosting and partnering on a series of fun and interactive events.

The events will celebrate the achievements of the council’s current apprentices and highlight the positive impact that apprenticeship programmes can have on individuals, businesses and the wider economy.

There will also be promotion of new apprenticeship opportunities for 2020.

The programme for the week will include:

Transport for London Apprenticeship Event: Monday 3rd February

Transport for London’s (TfL) will be hosting its annual “Get into Transport” Apprenticeship Fair, taking place at the Kensington Town Hall. The event will showcase hundreds of jobs and apprenticeships from over 30 different organisations across the transport sector.

Construction and apprenticeship Information session: Monday 3rd February

Meet the Brent Works Team and find out about careers in construction. This event will take place at the Brent Civic Centre.

Brent Council Apprenticeship Day: 5th February

Brent Council are recruiting apprentices in digital media, cake decorating, business administration, customer service, accounts administration, painting and decorating, dry lining and plumbing for 2020. Find out more about the varied roles and careers with the council.

Job Centre Plus Apprenticeship Fair: 6th February

The Job Centre Plus will be organising an Apprenticeship Fair where potential apprentices can learn about opportunities and meet local employers on the lookout for new recruits.

Celebration ceremony for Wembley Park Construction Apprentices 6th February

Wembley Park will be celebrating the successes of their construction apprentices who have played a major part in the regeneration of Wembley.
