Paula Joyce and Alex Alvanis scoop top prizes in Wildlife Photo Competition

Announcing the winners of Brent’s Wildlife Photography Competition 2019.

For a second year in a row Alex Alvanis, who is 16 and lives near Cricklewood, took home the under 18s prize with his photo of a cabbage white butterfly. The judges loved the detail and contrasting colours.

Willesden Green resident Paula Joyce stood out in the over 18s category, with judges praising the bright colours and composition of her bumble bee snap.

Cllr Krupa Sheth, Lead Member for Environment, said: “We were so impressed with Alex and Paula’s photos. Congratulations to both of our winners and thanks to everyone else who took the time to enter. Once again, you showed us that Brent is brimming with wildlife – and brilliant photographers!”
