Join Brent’s Residents’ Panel today to have your say

20 January 2020

Residents wanting to influence local decision making have a chance to voice their opinions about council proposals through an enhanced Residents’ Panel.

Brent Council is renewing its Residents’ Panel to create a stronger platform for local residents to give feedback, opinions and ideas on specific proposals and local services.

The council plans to consult with the panel throughout the year, largely through an online forum but also face-to-face when required.

Participating residents are not required to respond to all opportunities, but will ideally take part at least three times a year.

The council is looking for residents from across the borough and who represent all ages and backgrounds to ensure the panel is fully representative. In particular, the council is seeking the views of residents aged 16-30 years, those who use a range of services and residents who have not engaged with the council before. However, all applications are still welcome even if you do not fall within these criteria.

Councillor Muhammed Butt, Leader of Brent Council, said:

“We are always looking for ways to improve our services and ensure they are right for residents and this is a great way for local people to influence key policies and decisions.

“It is especially important that the panel reflects the incredibly diverse nature of this borough so we can hear a range of views that represent the many different communities who live in Brent.”

If you would like to be involved, please email and include ‘Residents' Panel’ in the subject line.

You cannot join the Citizens Panel if you are a Brent Councillor or employee of Brent Council.
