Brent’s Employment Team shortlisted for national award
6 July 2020
Brent Council’s Employment Service has been shortlisted as ‘Best Team’ for the Employment Related Services Association (ERSA) national award.
The Employment Team has already supported over 1,000 Brent residents into employment since 2016 and worked with over 300 local businesses.
The team works across a number of areas including helping people find work, apprenticeships, interview preparation and targeted projects such as working with ex-offenders and the ‘Moving on Up’ programme for young black men.
Councillor Amer Agha, Cabinet Member for Schools, Employment and Skills said: “This nomination is well deserved for Brent’s Employment Team. They have always been dedicated to helping Brent residents find work and their work has become even more crucial with the global pandemic. It has been an extremely challenging time, but they continue to help residents with the same determination and drive. I wish them the best of luck.”
The winners will be announced on 22 July.
