Appeal for Grenfell Tower fire victims

Following the horrendous fire at Grenfell Tower in North Kensington, the Kensington and Chelsea Foundation has launched a Grenfell Tower appeal for funding, with support from London Funders and the London Emergency Trust Fund.

The Mayor of Brent, Cllr Bhagwanji Chohan, is supporting the appeal. He said:

“Like all of us, I was deeply shocked and saddened by the fire at Grenfell Tower and tragic loss of life in one of our neighbouring boroughs. Thousands of people from London’s hugely diverse communities have already rallied round to support the victims and I encourage anyone who has not already done so to help those affected by supporting this appeal.”

Kensington and Chelsea Council has thanked everyone who has already made generous donations of accommodation, food, clothing and other items but requested that people do not donate any similar items for now has they have been inundated with useful items.
