Brent Youth String Orchestra to play in Provence, France

26 March 2014

Brent's talented Youth String Orchestra will be making their debut international concert tour in April 2014 when they visit Provence in the south of France.

The orchestra, including the Brent Youth String Quartet, will be performing at a variety of venues, entertaining audiences with their collection of concert pieces ranging from classical to contemporary, traditional to film and TV.

The group have already gained valuable experience from playing at the Royal Albert Hall and Wembley Arena.

They have also earned an impressive reputation amongst their peers, gaining a distinction at the 2011 Ealing Festival of Music for the 'energy and drive' of their prize-winning performance.

This high level of performance has since enjoyed the benefits of collaborative projects which have enabled them to work with British Composer of the Year James Redwood, members of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and, as part of the opening ceremony of the Brent Civic Centre, the English National Ballet.
