Take action on Dementia

Next week, (Monday 20 May) is the start of Dementia Action Week. In Brent we will be supporting the week with drop-in events for the public to find out more about dementia and a charity football match.
If you would like to find out how to spot the signs of dementia, how to support loved ones living with dementia or just want to have a chat, feel free to come to one of the events in the borough.
- Monday 20 May, Stall, Civic Centre, 12noon - 2.30pm
- Tuesday 21 May, Multi Faith Forum, Neasden Temple, 11.30am – 1.30pm
- Wednesday 22 May, Stall, Civic Centre, 12noon – 2.30pm
- Friday 24 May, Stall, Chalkhill Community Centre, 12noon – 2pm
Quintain, CADBrent (Community Action on Dementia), Ashford Place, Silver Jubilee Park and Brent council are also joining forces to bring Dementia Action Week to the forefront with a charity football match on Wednesday 22 May at Hendon FC.
The match will be hosted by Hendon FC/Silver Jubilee Park and will help raise funds for Ashford Place, which hosts one of Brent’s multiple Dementia Cafes.
Come along and watch local employees play alongside real Hendon FC players on Hendon FC’s own grounds and support the Community Action on dementia in Brent– £3 per ticket.
The event will be attended by Russell Grant who is a patron of the Middlesex County Football League. There will be raffle prizes and information on how to become a Dementia Friend.
