Picture Palace repair works begin
9 November 2020
As part of Brent Council’s ongoing investment in Harlesden, we are starting minor exterior repair works on the former iconic Picture Palace building.
The work, which commenced 9th November, marks the start of a programme of major improvements that will see the building transformed into a vibrant hub for community and cultural uses.
The works will focus on the erection of scaffolding, repairs to the roof and external fabric to make the site safe in readiness for the next phase, which will involve major refurbishment of the building planned for later next year.
Shared access to the site will continue to be provided to commercial properties and temporary lighting will be installed to improve safety.
Contractors working on the site will update local residents and businesses on progress and will aim to keep any disruption to a minimum.
Works are expected to complete by early February 2021.
