Even though January has already started there is still plenty of time to join in and sign up to Dry January and give your body a break from the booze.
January is a time when many of us pledge to get fit and healthy and cutting down on the amount of alcohol you drink is a good start to the New Year. It will boost your energy levels, help with weight loss and improve your sleep as well as save you money.
In Brent we have confidential services available for people who are concerned about their drinking. B3 offer a confidential and supportive peer to peer drop in service each Saturday, 12noon- 5pm and Sunday 1pm-4pm for people with substance issues. The drop in session is held at 97 Cobbold Road, NW10.

There will also be a stall at the Civic Centre run by members of B3 on Thursday 14 January where they will be talking to people about the amount of units in different types of alcoholic drinks, support and advice available for people that feel they drink too much as well as alternatives to alcohol.
Last January over two million people participated. To find out more and to pledge to give up alcohol for the month go to www.dryjanuary.org.uk.
