Brent Council launches its new apprenticeship service through Brent Works, which will help more residents gain new opportunities to learn and work.
The service works directly with employers to help provide more apprenticeship opportunities in Brent, with a variety of roles across a range of companies and organisations in the borough. This service will primarily focus on young people age 16-24, but there will also be some opportunity for Brent residents age 25+ to apply for relevant apprenticeship positions.
Commenting on the announcement, Councillor Roxanne Mashari; lead member for Employment and Skills said: "Brent Council's new apprenticeship service at Brent Works ensures a talented workforce is nurtured from the beginning of their careers, and allows young people to explore their skills and gain knowledge while working and earning. The service works closely with businesses to provide them with skilled local young people, who bring a new, fresh perspective and ideas to the business."
Roles are open for applications now through Brent Works, and can be found here at www.supplybrent.co.uk/employment/apprenticeship-vacancies. Current roles include apprenticeships in Business admin and Finance, and Facilities Management.
