It's good news for children and families in Brent as 91 per cent of schools in the borough are now rated 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by government inspectors, Ofsted.
There are 84 schools in Brent which include 59 primary schools, 12 secondary schools, 4 nurseries, 4 special schools, 2 pupil referral units and 3 all-through schools, which provide both primary and secondary education.
In the last four months, the Ofsted judgements of 3 Brent schools have moved from 'Requires Improvement' to 'Good', 1 has improved from 'Inadequate' to 'Good' and 1 has moved from 'Good' to 'Outstanding'.
Cllr Ruth Moher, Brent Council's Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said:
"I am pleased to see these improvements and delighted that 91 per cent of our schools have been recognised by Ofsted as 'Good' or 'Outstanding'.
"I'd like to congratulate school leaders and their staff for all of their hard work.
"Every child in Brent deserves a high-quality education at a good school and we will continue working with our schools in order to provide this."
