Get ready for one of the most dazzling events of 2016, as Brent Council and Wembley Park come together to stage an unforgettable free fireworks celebration on Sunday 6 November.
Preparations are well underway to create an incredible spectacle for the thousands of people who are expected to stream into Wembley Park. The national stadium will be the backdrop for the annual Brent fireworks spectacular which is moving to Wembley Park, from Roundwood Park.
The family friendly event promises vibrant street entertainment and food stalls throughout the afternoon and concludes with a dazzling free fireworks finale from around 6.30pm.
Councillor Muhammed Butt, Leader of Brent Council, said: "I am delighted that we have been able to find a wonderful sponsor in Wembley Park which means, despite the significant cuts to our budget, we are able to provide a free event for all the family to enjoy again this year. By moving the event from Roundwood Park to Wembley Park more Brent residents will be able to travel to the display easily thanks to the excellent public transport links to Wembley.
"We've got a whole afternoon of fun activities for all the family planned as well as the iconic backdrop of Wembley Stadium for the fireworks finale which will be set to a top secret sound track this year."
Fuse Fireworks, one of the most successful and experienced firework display companies in the UK have been awarded the contract to deliver the show. Brian Marshall the company's MD said: "Expect the wow factor and one of London's greatest choreographed displays. I don't want to give too much away but we are going for maximum effect and putting on a competition style display."
James Saunders, Chief Operating Officer at Quintain, the company behind the redevelopment of Wembley Park said: "We are delighted to be working with Brent Council to host what promises to be a spectacular fireworks display for local residents, workers and visitors alike. Wembley Park has a buzzing and vibrant community and we look forward to everyone coming together on 6 November to enjoy the show."
