Ever wondered what Brent Council workers do on an average day?

16 November 2016

#OurDay is the annual twitterthon where councils across the UK give an insight into what we do on a typical day; this year on Tuesday 15 November.

You'll see how just some of the people behind the scenes are working hard to keep services in Brent running smoothly.

Cllr Muhammed Butt, Leader of Brent Council said:

"#OurDay is an excellent opportunity for Brent residents to see the hard work of Council staff that takes place 'behind the scenes' every day.

"We all know that the Council is responsible for those everyday services - collecting the bins, repairing pot holes, fixing street lights.

"But in reality, there are hundreds of dedicated staff whose hard work and dedication goes largely unseen. OurDay is an opportunity to highlight the fantastic work that they do, and share with residents the wide range of services that the Council delivers.

"From providing support for children with disabilities to putting on community events like the recent fireworks display; tackling crime and anti-social behaviour to our award-winning stray dog service. The work never stops for Brent Council!

"I'm incredibly proud of the Brent Council team who work tirelessly to make our community a safer, cleaner, more exciting place to live. It's been a pleasure to take part in #OurDay and have the opportunity to give residents a glimpse of the work that goes into making Brent the place we are all proud to call home."
