Christmas gifts for Brent’s children in care

23 December 2016

Brent police and volunteer cadets visited Brent's Civic Centre last week to donate 250 presents for the borough's children in care to enjoy this Christmas.

They met Brent Council's Director of Children's Services - Gail Tolley and Deputy Leader of the Council - Cllr Margaret McLennan to hand over the gifts by the Christmas tree in the foyer.

Officers and volunteer police cadets raised money to buy the gifts which will now be distributed among Brent's children in care.

The presents have been given as part of the Metropolitan Police Commissioner's Christmas Tree Project 2016, which helps to provide presents to children who may otherwise not have received one last Christmas.
