Wembley Park plays host to the famous 2017 Tour Series on Tuesday 16 May. Come along to see the stars of the cycling world compete, and take part in a range of cycling-related activities yourself!
This is a free event for the entire community to enjoy, with a fun-packed day of races.
In addition to the main races, here's a taste of what you can do for free:
Rollapaluza - get on a static bike and compete against another cyclist, riding as fast as you can in a set period of time. There's music and live commentary, just like a real race. Go on, give it a try!
Exchanging places: sit in a bus or heavy goods vehicle, and see what they see - Ever wondered how easy it is for bus or HGV drivers to see a cyclist? Here's your chance to 'sit in their seat' and see for yourself!
- Dr Bike - bring your bike in for a free 'health check' - Dr Bike mechanics will look at brakes, tyres, gears and general road-worthiness of cycles on the day. If possible, they'll fix problems there and then.
Get information on free cycle training available for anyone who lives, works and studies in Brent.
- Bike Security Marking
Make sure you get your bike back, if it's stolen. The Met Police will apply security marking to your bike and take your details to ensure you and your bike are reunited.
- Schools Races: 2pm to 3.30pm
In association with British Cycling, there'll be a schools race on part of the race track route. We have a number of local primary schools participating, including St. Joseph's Junior, Salusbury, Barham and Sudbury schools.
If you're cycling, make sure you use the free, cycle parking facility available to the public.
Bring the family along for a day of fun - you might even spot an Olympian as you taste the delights of the local food and drink stalls.
