Make a Run for it: How to Stand for Election

11 January 2018

Thinking of standing in the local elections this May? Get the run-down in a workshop focusing on everything you need to know to stand in the 2018 Local Elections.

Brent's Electoral Services team is holding a nominations workshop at 6pm on Wednesday 21 February in the Conference Hall at Brent Civic Centre, Engineers Way, Wembley HA9 0FJ. The workshop will cover what you need to do to stand for election, including how to complete and submit a nomination paper and key dates for the electoral timetable.

This session is an opportunity for anyone thinking of standing in the upcoming local elections to fully understand the nominations processes as well as any regulations. Have your questions answered face-to-face and get key information from members of the team, who will be on hand throughout the evening.

Please note that any questions relating to polling day or the count will be addressed in a separate workshop for candidates and agents, to be held after nominations close on Friday 6 April.

If you wish to attend or have any questions about the workshop please email melanie.adams@brent.gov.uk
