Building a better Harlesden – have your say
9 August 2018
A vision of what Harlesden could look like in the future is up for debate with the launch of the Harlesden Neighbourhood Plan.
Residents are invited to have their say on how the neighbourhood can develop and grow over the next fifteen years with the launch of a consultation running until 20 September.
The plan, drafted by Harlesden Neighbourhood Forum, outlines four development sites, including the Harlesden Plaza, alongside aspirations for better housing, transport, open spaces, environment and community facilities.
Cllr Shama Tatler, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Highways and Planning, said: "It's great to see the community of Harlesden come together and put forward a vision of how they would like Harlesden to develop over the next 15 years.
"Residents can comment on the Harlesden Neighbourhood Plan through the consultation before a local referendum later in the year."
The Harlesden Neighbourhood Plan sets out a vision as to how Harlesden should develop over the next 15 years.
A local referendum later in the year will follow the consultation process. If local people vote to adopt the plan, it will become a statutory planning document.
You are invited to comment on the plan either by emailing email@example.com or in writing to Planning Policy, Brent Civic Centre, Engineers Way, Wembley, HA9 0FJ.
