Mayor of Brent Hosts Gala Fundraising Dinner

The Mayor of Brent, Councillor Arshad Mahmood, will host a Gala Fundraising Dinner on Sunday 2 December 2018 at the Sattavis Patidar Centre in aid of his two chosen charities:
- Sufra NW London (a local food bank and community kitchen for low-income families in crisis) and;
- Read Foundation (an educational charity that helps needy and orphan children in the developing world).

Councillor Arshad Mahmood, Mayor of Brent said: "I am passionate about supporting underprivileged families and children in Brent and further afield. I would like to invite business leaders, community groups and residents to support me in making a difference to those who fallen on hard times".

The event will include a three-course dinner, an indoor light show, musical performances and a live auction with boxing gloves signed by Anthony Joshua, a framed 1966 England shirt signed by players and a sailing trip on a luxury yacht available to the highest bidders.

The Mayor's Gala Fundraising Dinner has generously been sponsored by John Sisk & Son, Wates Living Space, Lamabuild and London Housing Group.
