Local SMEs from across Brent are being encouraged to attend a free Brexit Support Session on Monday 29 April, at Brent Civic Centre.

A series of workshops are running across the capital by the London Growth Hub (and delivered by BrexitHelp.net) over the coming months, to help SMEs to become more resilient to the risks associated with changes to our relationship with the European Union following Brexit.

The Navigating Brexit for SMEs sessions are being delivered by highly experienced EU business specialists and will be supplemented by a range of online content. Topics covered will include:

  • New requirements when employing EU staff
  • How Brexit will impact on import/exports
  • Changes to contracts and insurance
  • Sector specialists providing key insights and case studies for their industries
  • Interactive Q&A session

Councillor Shama Tatler, Lead Member for Regeneration, Highways & Planning at Brent Council, said: "Brent Council is committed to supporting small businesses in the borough during this time of uncertainty. I hope as many SMEs as possible attend this event to gain vital information on how to Brexit-proof their business."
