Get work Get Happy at the Wembley Job and Apprenticeship Show this May

Wembley will host another free careers event next month. The Job and Apprenticeship Show is being held in partnership with Brent Council's recruitment arm 'Brent Works', the Jobcentre Plus and the College of North West London and will take place at Wembley stadium on 21 May 2019 from 10am to 5pm.

Hundreds of live jobs will be available on the day and recruiters from private and public sectors will be on the lookout for talent.

Anyone interested in securing a great career is encouraged to attend - whether you are looking for a change, returning to work following a career break or looking for your next step post school or college.

There will be the chance to:

  • meet the managers and recruitment managers of local and national businesses
  • access a mix of full and part time opportunities including upcoming summer/season roles
  • gain advice on careers
  • sign up to courses with local colleges and training providers
  • learn about future jobs and skills

Over 100 employers will be in attendance including, the London Designer Outlet, Wembley Stadium, Wembley Park Development (Quintain), Brent Works, NHS, Army, Navy, RAF, Police and Fire Service.

Entry is completely free; however, ID will be required. Attendees will need to register by emailing brent.works@brent.gov.uk or via eventbrite.

Cllr Agha, Brent Council's Cabinet Member for Education, Skills & Employment, said: "We're working with our partners to bring hundreds of great employers under one roof at Wembley Stadium so that Brent resident can get direct access to these recruiters and the many career opportunities that are on offer."


Stephen Davis, Principal of the College of North West London, said: "The college is delighted to support this fantastic innovative by Brent Works. These events are invaluable for our students who can see a direct line of sight to work from their studies. This event will raise aspiration and ambition for them. No doubt, help raise their ambition and aspirations for their future."

We've seen over 82000 more Londoners in work in the last year and our jobs centres across the city are ready to help more people into work."
