The Role
Phoenix Arch School has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist wishing to work in a primary-aged special needs setting.
The successful candidate will manage a small caseload of children up to 56, from assessment to discharge. You will deliver individual and small group sessions to pupils on your caseload, as well as overseeing class based interventions such as Attention Autism, Colourful Semantics and Social Skills group across the school. You will work collaboratively with teaching staff, modelling activities and working in class to support children to transfer skills within the classroom environment. There will also be opportunities to get involved in whole school activities and deliver whole-school training.
We offer a supportive working environment where staff are encouraged to contribute to the school community, whilst developing their practice. Regular Clinical Supervision will form part of the role to ensure that you are supported in the development of your skills and keeping up to date on current practice and research.
