Culture Splash, is a celebration of the borough's local high streets and local communities. The programme is set to re-energise town centres with an eclectic line-up of live music and performances, arts and crafts and more.

Festivals, fairs and markets, packed with free family fun and cultural entertainment are coming to town centres across Brent this summer.

  • Sunday 17 July - Neasden International Festival
  • Saturday 10 September - A taste of Harlesden Heritage and Culture
  • Saturday 17 September - #WeAreChurchEnd car-free day event
  • September - Kilburn Comedy Festival (more details to follow soon)

Cllr Eleanor Southwood, Cabinet Member for Jobs, Economy & Citizen Experience at Brent Council said:

“Our high streets and independent businesses reflect the borough’s rich cultural heritage.

“These small businesses were hit hard by the pandemic, and have continued to face an uphill battle with consumer behaviour changes, skyrocketing energy prices and the cost-of-living crisis.

“Culture Splash will bring our communities together this summer to reconnect with their high streets and neighbours in a celebration of culture.

“From Kilburn and its thriving comedy scene to Harlesden, the UK’s capital of reggae, our events will champion the unique identity of each of our town centres.

“

Make sure you show your high street some love by joining in the summer fun and supporting our much-cherished traders.

”

Culture Splash complements the council’s ongoing Shop Local campaign and high street revitalisation programme.
