Hospitality and Employment skills training

Thursday 25 January 2018, 9.30am to 4.00pm, The Library at Willesden Green

This course will take place from Thursday 25 January 2018 to Friday 9 February 2018

Gain the skills, knowledge and qualifications you need to work in the Hospitality sector. Brent Start is working in partnership with Ibis Hotel in Wembley and are running a 12 day employment training.

Ibis Hotel are the lead employers, however we also have Greggs and Wasabi opportunities available.

We will:

  • help you update your CV and train you in interviews skills
  • refer successful clients to Ibis Hotel for their vacancies who are supporting this training programme
  • provide you with continued support  and opportunities to apply for vacancies with other hospitality employers within the borough through Brent Work.

You will gain:

  • Customer Service in the Hospitality Industry
  • Level 1 Award in Employability Skills (varied units)
  • L2 Food Safety in Catering

Work Experience

  • After completing the course you will get 2 x 5 hrs work experience shifts 4pm – 9pm and then 7am – 12 pm
  • You will get a guaranteed interview with Ibis Hotelafter your morning shift.

Entry requirements

  • 19 years and over. Candidates must be 19 years of age at 31 Aug 2017
  • Literacy skills at Entry 3
  • In receipt of any of the following benefits JSA, ESA and UC

Assessments and Enrolments

You MUST book yourself in for an initial assessment which may take place at either Brent Start, 1 Morland Gardens, Stonebridge, NW10 8DY or The Library at Willesden Green, 95 High Road, NW10 2SF

  • Friday 12 January 2018 from 10am to 1pm
  • Monday 15 January 2018 from 10am to 1pm
  • Friday 19 January 2018 from 10am to 1pm
