Step into my parlour: Celebrating Black British female authors

Thursday 22 April 2021, 6.30pm to 7.30pm, Online

Multi talented freelance writer, festival producer and literature programmer Marcelle Mateki Akita zooms onto a virtual sofa to interview some of the best black British female writing talent, grabbing our attention with some wonderful beautiful hypnotic storytelling.

For one evening only, be an honoured guest for internationally best-selling, multi-award-winning novelist Dorothy Koomson; writer Sareeta Domingo, who describes herself as a hopeful-but-realistic romantic with two intoxicating love novels; and Frances Mensah Williams who launched her romantic trilogy following the misadventures of her heroine with the wonderful original title, From Pasta to Pigfoot and now introduces Imperfect Arrangements - love stories of three sister-friends.

This is a partnership project between BBC Arts, Libraries Connected, The Reading Agency, The British Library and The Publishers Association using public funding from Arts Council England.
