Join us at this Decision Day event and have you say in which projects you feel will make a real difference in your local area.

As part of our 'You Decide' initiative we’ve received over 200 grant applications packed with ideas for making a difference in Brent’s communities.

Now its time to vote on the ones you want to see brought to life.

In the first of five Decision Day events, local residents from the Kilburn, Brondesbury Park and Queens Park areas will hear from organisations and businesses as to why their project is needed and how it will benefit the local community!

Projects have been nominated in two programmes. You will have the opportunity to decide which local projects you want to receive funding across each programme:

Brent Health Matters: A total of £50,000 in grants is being made available to
Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy (NCIL): projects will get a share of a fund totalling £400,000.

If you live in this area and want to decide on what happens in your community, then register online to attend this event and make your vote count.

Only residents who live in the wards of Brondesbury Park, Kilburn and Queens Park can attend this Decision Day event.

About You Decide

This is the first time Brent Council is using Participatory Budgeting to put the community at the heart of decision-making and empower residents to decide how council money will be spent to benefit the community.

The You Decide initiative will divide £2million equally amongst the Brent Connects areas of Willesden, Harlesden, Wembley, Kingsbury and Kenton, and Kilburn.

Residents will be asked to take the lead in submitting project ideas that will improve local communities while focusing on physical improvements through the Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy fund (NCIL).

Alongside this £2million fund, a further £250K will be available through the Brent Health Matters fund. This will see £50K made available to each Brent Connects area for projects that focus on supporting the health and wellbeing of the local community.
