Branching Out is back again!
Live here, Thrive here!
Brent Council & Prospects would like to invite you to our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Information Event, “Branching Out”.
If your child is aged 14 – 25 with SEND this event is perfect for you to get information about how they can overcome barriers and transition eventually into employment. The event is also open to Brent residents as well as non-Brent residents who attend a Brent school.
Our event will take place at the Civic Centre, where you'll have the opportunity to meet providers, take part in workshops and seek support about how to transition to adulthood with disabilities
In attendance will be local organisations from the Education, Employment Support, Health, Housing, Volunteering sectors as well as support for parents and provisions from the Council’s Inclusion SEND team and external SEND organisations
As a parent of a child with SEND, you are welcome to attend on your own if your child is unable to make the date and time. Alternatively, your child can come independently as the event will commence once school has concluded.
Please be aware that we want to make the event as comfortable and inclusive as possible, so we encourage young people who are deaf, blind/partially blind, use a wheelchair or require a quiet environment to attend the event and obtain as much information as possible.
