The school
We are looking to appoint an Afterschool Club Worker to operate and develop the After School Club at Park Lane Primary School. You will work closely with other members of the Afterschool Club team to ensure its continued smooth and effective running. The confidence and ability to work flexibly and contribute to the school’s ethos is essential, as is the desire to engage with children in all aspects of play and conversation.

The person
- You will have the ability to create a welcoming and supportive environment for the children attending the club
- You will prepare games and activities, and support the children to participate in these activities (eg. board games, reading, baking etc.)
- Manage the behaviour of pupils in line with the school’s behaviour policy, and report safeguarding issues to the school’s DSL
- Be organised in preparing daily activities, taking registers and tidying areas and equipment after use
- Organise the preparation and serving of meals as required
- Work as part of a team to ensure children are safe and enjoy the activities offered by the Afterschool Club
- Meet and greet parents/carers and provide them with feedback on their child’s time at the Club
- Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, food hygiene, health & safety, administration and confidentiality, reporting all concerns to the appropriate member of staff
- Participate in training, other learning activities and performance development as required
