The school
Gladstone Park Primary is a successful three form entry school with a strong and supportive staff team that is part of Anthem Schools Trust.
We are well situated within a 5 minute walk from Dollis Hill Tube Station on the Jubilee line in the London Borough of Brent.

The role
- The post holder must at all times carry out her/his duties with due regard to the Council’s/School’s Customer Care, Equal Opportunities and Child Protection Policies as adopted by the Governing Body
- Take care of children who are unwell or have accidents at school, administering first aid, notifying parents as necessary and accompanying children home or to hospital if required
- Keep a record of any accidents, filling in accident forms and reporting appropriately
- Keep medicines and records for long term conditions, such as asthma and diabetes. Be able to deal with any problems in a calm and professional manner
- Check first aid boxes in school fortnightly to ensure they are fully equipped
- Update children’s records on the Management information system
- Liaise with and assist the school nurse during school visits. Coordinate medical, eye and hearing tests.
- Ensure that all relevant staff are provided with up-to-date information on children with medical needs
- Deal with children who soil or dirty clothes, washing and changing them and keeping a stock of clean clothes.
The person
- We are seeking to employ an enthusiastic and caring Welfare Assistant for a three day role
- You must have some first aid experience but additional training can be provided for a suitable candidate
- This is a job share role so teamwork and communication is vital in this role.
