About nursery/ early years setting
Neasden Montessori School was founded in 1985 and provides children with a warm, secure, vibrant and happy school environment.
We have an excellent team of staff. As we are a Montessori School, we have a lot of Montessori materials in our school as well as plenty of other resources for the children to work in all 7 areas of EYFS curriculum. We have a beautiful playground with play equipment to help the children with their physical skills and for their personal and social development.
We have a good parent partnership in our school where we involve the parents with our Topics, Festivals, Story Reading etc.
Most importantly, we want our children to be happy, safe and learning and developing well, across the 7 areas of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
The role
At Neasden Montessori, the safety of all our children is paramount. As a nursery practitioner, the successful candidate is required to help and support the manager and the staff team in smooth running of the school and to make sure that the children are safe.
The successful candidate will be given a group of children aged under 3 years old for whom she will be responsible. She is required to monitor and do planning for those children in her key group and keep a record of their development /learning journey. This she can share with the parents at the meeting. She should mark the tracking sheet in the EYFS form to record each child’s learning in her key group, which will be transferred in the cohort data in the school computer. All these will be shown to her by the manager who will also do the induction for her.
The successful candidate is required to attend relevant training courses that Brent Council runs for the nurseries as well as attend supervision and staff appraisal with our School Manager Ms Preeti.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and pro-active and can move around the classroom to check on all the children if and when required. She must show her initiative and prepare to work successfully along with our excellent staff team.
All the above will be discussed with the manager during the interview. The person selected will be under probation for up to two terms (approx. 6months) when her performance will be assessed. If she is successful, she will be made permanent from Spring Term January 2024.
