About this event
Macular disease is the main cause of sight loss in the developed world and affects people of all ages. You may have been diagnosed with the disease, you may be supporting friends and family with the disease or you may just want to find out more.
The presentation will be followed by a Q&A and one of our library Digital Champions will talk about our library digital offer and provide a demonstration of our library app and e-resources and show how they are accessible for visually impaired people.
About the Macular Society
The talk will be delivered by Monica Nsue-Jurado from the Macular Society, She is the Regional Fundraiser covering London. For the last 6 years Monica has worked for organisations that specialise in supporting visually impaired people. The Macular Society help people of all ages adapt to life with sight loss, by supporting them to regain confidence and independence so they can take back control of their lives.
About Hi VIS 2023
