Another World or Not is a diverse artistic collaboration between musicians and artists. The innovative audio-visual showcase will bring audiences the stunning experience of ‘traveling in deep
ocean’ and lead them to discover the mysterious world under the sea - and then, encourage audiences to critically think about the relationship between human beings and the ocean. The ocean provides 98 percent of living space on Earth, but most human beings never have the chance to see what happens in the deep sea - it seems to be another world. How many marine creatures are there? How do they live? What are their living conditions like? Is there any connection between the tiny plankton and us?
The exceptional beauty of the ocean fascinates both the illustrator, Yueting, and composer, Suting. The charming deep-sea world becomes their muse in their artistic creating. Both artists are concerned that the prosperity of the ocean is in decline. Affected by threats like pollution and global warming, the health of many ecosystems in the ocean are in danger and the number of species there is continually decreasing. The ocean is in a precarious situation with many people paying no attention to it... Human beings must realise that no one is isolated in this planet and that they share the same world with marine creatures. If we keep ignoring ocean conservation, we will eventually pay for it.
With various mediums including paintings, ceramics, and melodies, all artists and musicians are trying to express the vitality and glamour of marine life. Their only wish is to use their creativity to raise people’s awareness of ocean conservation through their exhibition.
