We are an educational registered charity which offers non-accredited and accredited courses to all sections of the community. Our mission is ‘to improve disadvantaged and socially excluded people’s employment potential by offering them an alternative future through training in education and enterprise’. Our vision for learning and skills is simply to ensure that lifelong learning and up-skilling in employment is a defining characteristic of individuals in our local communities and beyond. The centre is a vital resource for the community to build their skills, gain support and improve their confidence.
Programmes on offer, but not limited to, are: KS2, KS3 and GCSE tuition for maths and English; STEM Programme (robotics, coding, apps design and programming) for aged 8-16, during school holidays (subject to funding) and an e-learning digital inclusion programme for people who have no basic online skills. Our vocational options are aimed at pupils aged 14 to 18, who are at risk of being, not in education, employment and training (NEET); who are referred and sponsored by the local education authority. We also provide adult skills development aimed at anyone who wishes to develop their skills as a route into employment or further education and offer information advice and career guidance sessions.
