Love Where You Live Health and Wellbeing for Black African and Black Caribbean Heritage provides funding for community projects that are concerned with the health and wellbeing of these specific communities.
This is a one-off round, at present.

The project should be a one-off activity (unless your project is concerned with social isolation or capacity building) with a clear beginning and end.
The activity must be open to everyone in the specified local area.

Each applicant can apply for a grant of up to £1000 for his or her chosen project. Projects costing more must be match-funded.

If unregistered
The council’s Community and Social Infrastructure Team will check your application and get back to you if any information is missing or needs clarifying.
The project will be assessed to ensure it meets the Love where you Live grant criteria.
We will consider projects in batches on a monthly basis and will seek to give you a decision within 31 days of receiving your application.
If you are successful, we will transfer the money by BACS payment to your bank account. This will take approximately three weeks from when we inform you of the decision.
Once the funds are in your account you can begin with your project. You will be required to acknowledge council funding in any promotional material and use the Love where you live logo where possible. You will need to let us know when activities are taking place – especially if they differ from what you put in the application form. Your local councillors would really appreciate an opportunity to attend your activity.
You will be required to monitor the success of your project. You will need to submit evidence and information about your project within four weeks of the project being completed, including:
Photos/video showing the project taking place with appropriate permissions
A list of the items and spend on your project. A record of how many people benefitted from the project
A short narrative detailing the project outcomes, which may put on the council website or other promotional material, with the photos and/or video. These should be sent to: lovewhereyoulive@brent.gov.uk
