Christmas presents are going to be delivered to a number of vulnerable children in the borough.

For the second year in a row, Brent Council worked alongside the ACE Cafe to collect, donate and distribute presents to vulnerable children and young people, some of whom are in care.

Cllr Muhammed Butt, Leader of Brent Council said: “We are delighted to be able to support the ACE Cafe, who are doing a remarkable job in in delivering these gifts to vulnerable children to help make their Christmas a little brighter. Thank you to all of those who donated these generous gifts. We know that the children will truly appreciate them.”

The gifts are the result of a toy appeal, organised by ACE cafe, known as the world’s most famous motor cafe, where members of the public were encouraged to buy a festive present for children who need help and support this winter.

Unity Support Riders delivered the Christmas gifts that were kindly donated by residents to three drop-off points, including the Civic Centre, where the riders were welcomed by the Mayor of Brent.

Ron Miles, also known as ‘Toy Run Ron’ was specially thanked by Cllr Muhammed Butt, Leader of Brent Council and presented with a certificate for having taken part in this for 25 years.

“

Thank you to all of those who donated these generous gifts. We know that the children will truly appreciate them.
