From 8 July to 11 September, the Brent Biennial returns with 12 free art exhibitions and events for people to discover around Kilburn, Willesden and Harlesden.
The second edition of the Brent Biennial, In the House of my Love, brings together artists and community groups whose works explore the many meanings of homemaking.
We are proud to support Metroland Cultures as it announces 12 fresh and free art exhibitions this summer.
Titled In the House of My Love, the second edition of the Brent Biennial will feature projects by 12 artists: Arwa Aburawa & Turab Shah, Rasheed Araeen, Alex Baczynski-Jenkins, Rebecca Bellantoni, Ed Webb-Ingall, Linett Kamala, Mahmoud Khaled, Zinzi Minott, Shenece Oretha, Katarzyna Perlak, Mohammed Zaahidur Rahman and Sarah Rose.
The Biennial takes place across 10 different venues and public spaces around the borough.
Cllr Fleur Donnelly-Jackson, Cabinet Member for Culture, Communities and Equalities at Brent Council said: “Brent’s brilliant 2020 London Borough of Culture legacy continues! Metroland have curated a biennial that asks challenging questions and which showcases a diverse range of talented artists using different art forms. Ideas of home are explored throughout the programme and exhibitions.
